Microsoft Word Accessibility

Brief: A training for users who are creating documents in Microsoft (MS) Word for distribution as a MS Word or distributing as a PDF. This course will cover the requirements to structure the documents for accessibility to creating an accessible PDF. The more accessible the MS Word file, the more accessible the PDF will export will be. The PDF export will need some updates to be considered fully accessible.

Depending on the formatting of your MS Word documents the axesWord software may be a helpful tool in creating even more accessible PDF conversions. Depending on the quantity and complexity of the MS Word files we may suggest purchasing this software. Additional training can be provided if this software is utilized.

Handouts: Presentation Materials, Word Accessibility Checklist, Word Quick Reference, an after-Session Assessment will be provided for Participants.
