Designing Accessible Data Visualizations and Creating Alternative Text

Brief: This session is meant for designers creating data visualizations for your documents We will review examples of Bar Charts, Pie Graphs, Line Graphs, Mixed Graphs, Stacked Bar Charts, Infographic, Flow Charts and more. Our goal would be to utilize Capital Group current documents for examples and review of Data Visualizations.

Note: If Chat GPT is available for participants. We can train and provide a Quick Reference for Chat GPT prompts that can be used to create effective alternate text for standard image categories (i.e. pie charts, bar charts, line graphs). All alternate text created with AI tools will need to be carefully reviewed and edited.

Handouts: Presentation Materials, Image Use Checklist, Color Requirement Quick Reference, Alternative Text Quick Reference and Resource Guide, an after-Session Assessment will be provided for Participants.
